October WNW meeting

This months meeting will be on Tuesday, October 14, 2008, located in the basement of the Wallace Ave. Baptist Church. From 6:30p.m. - usually around 8:00p.m. Linda Peterson will be talking about the future of neighborhood watches among other topics of concern. If you have any questions that you would like answered please have your questions on hand. The WNW is open to anyone who is interested, as always, welcome to the meetings. A representative from the Shawnee PD will also be in attendance if you might have any questions or concerns please feel free to speak to him.
T-Shirts are now for sale $15.00 S-L and $20.00 for XL-3x . They are yellow with the WNW Logo.

Free Smoke Detector

If you do not have a Smoke Detector the Shawnee Fire Department can provide you with one at no charge. All you have to do is call 273-4282 and request one. The Fire Dept. will come to your home and Install it for you.

Learn about fire prevention from the Firefighter clowns on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. located at the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center on Independence and U.S. 177. the event is free.

Wildcats walk to school day

Wednesday, October 8Th at 7:15 am. Join the Jefferson Wildcats who will be walking to school with adult supervision. While playing games. For those who would like to join the students meet at one of the following locations
  • Burns and Chapman
  • Beard and Ridgewood
  • Park and Independence
